iFocus is proud to present an exclusive street photography seminar with internationally acclaimed photographer Gustavo Minas, held on July 4–5 at the iFocus Photo Gallery in Athens!
This intensive course is designed for street photographers, whether beginners or more experienced, who want to develop a personal style and explore new tools for creative expression.
Through a combination of portfolio reviews, guided shooting sessions, and photo critiques, participants will deepen their ability to create unique and impactful images and learn how to transform strong individual photos into cohesive series suitable for web, contests, or print.

About the Workshop
One of the key questions in street photography is: how do you develop a personal style? The answer lies in blending your “visual baggage”—references from photography, cinema, and painting—with your immediate reality, combined with consistent practice that allows your style to emerge naturally.
This workshop will guide you through critical analysis, hands-on practice, and exploration of various aesthetic approaches to help you build a distinctive visual language. Using the street as a mirror, you will reveal yourself through your work and learn how to create cohesive photographic series.

About the Instructor
Gustavo Minas was born in Cássia, Brazil, in 1981. He studied journalism and photographic language with Carlos Moreira and attended workshops with Magnum photographers Gueorgui Pinkhassov (2016) and Nikos Economopoulos (2019).
Highlights of his career include:
* 2017: Rodoviária wins POY Latam “Future of Cities” and exhibits in Montevideo (2018) and Venice Architecture Biennale (2021)
* 2019: Publishes first book Maximum Shadow, Minimal Light with a solo exhibition at Freelens Gallery, Hamburg
